World No. 6 With consecutive victories at Wellington International in Wellington, Florida, Richard Vogel made an impression during the first week of the 2025 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). In the irons of Event De L’Heribus, he won the $75,000 WEF Premiere Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon after winning the Adequan® WEF Challenge Cup Premiere Round on Thursday while riding Levi Noesar.
Over courses created by Eric Hasbrouck (USA), Vogel and the 10-year-old German-bred gelding (Emir De Vy x Komanche Des Fontenis) defeated a 12-horse jump-off in their first show together. Vogel, a strong contender in any jump-off, beat current leader Shane Sweetnam (IRL) on Gilona AO with a time of 34.086 seconds. Sweetnam finished in second place with a time of 34.24 seconds, and the home country’s Jacqueline Ruyle finished third on Cyramo Z with a time of 35.065 seconds.
Vogel, an Olympian from Germany who is spending the winter in Wellington, expressed his excitement about their future together. “It’s an incredible way to kick off the season and our collaboration.”
In Bavaria, South Germany, Vogel found “Sven,” as the horse is called around the stable. I saw the horse in the stable more than a year ago when I purchased another one from them. I could tell he was intelligent even in the cubicle. They weren’t prepared to sell, but I was familiar with him from watching videos and kept up with the horse. I returned two months ago to give him a try, and I had a great experience.
Sabrina Berger produced Event De L’Heribus, which amassed numerous noteworthy victories in the young horse division. “Sabrina did an amazing job raising him; she raised him well so that we could take over and succeed right away.” It’s a pleasant sensation and a testament to their work as well.
Sabrina Berger developed Event De L’Heribus, which gathered numerous noteworthy Vogel reacted when questioned about his stellar speedtrack record. “Our sport is so quick these days. Having a naturally swift horse is definitely advantageous, and I enjoy horses of that breed. Although it is obviously easier for a naturally fast horse to win a class, a horse that jumps a lot of clear rounds but is a touch slow is still a very good horse. This horse wins in the young horse ranks. “Sabrina did an amazing job raising him; she raised him well so that we could take over and succeed right away.” It’s a pleasant sensation and a testament to their work as well.
He came to the conclusion, specifically mentioning Event De L’Heribus, “He appears heavy in the stable, but he becomes quite modern under the saddle.” He has so much blood and intelligence that you almost think he’s an old-fashioned type if you see him without a saddle. That, in my opinion, is what makes him unique.
